Stainless steel is one of the strongest materials used for strapping, and as such, it’s often used for heavier and larger shipments in need of extra support. Stainless steel strapping is available in a variety of widths and grades, so no matter the package, there are a lot of choices.
High Tensile Steel Strapping
High tensile steel strapping is generally used in more industrial situations. For example, materials shipped via railroad are typically bound together with high tensile steel strapping.
Galvanized Steel Strapping
If you’re in need of long-term storage, then galvanized steel is probably your best bet. Galvanized steel is created by applying a protective zinc coating to steel, which helps prevent corrosion and oxidation. Galvanized steel is incredibly strong, but the downside is that it can stretch out over time.
Polyester may be incorporated into your clothing, but make no mistake, it’s one of the strongest materials out there for strapping purposes. It’s a great deal lighter than steel, which makes it less expensive. In addition, it comes in a variety of colors for those that need to color-code any shipments.
